This week is the first week where things are moving so slowly I have a strong sense of frustration.
Our documents are still in legal review so there are a lot of things held up waiting on the completion and filing of paperwork. Most of the time this week was spent on refining documents, and preparing for our first formation meeting of the initial board of directors. We plan to hold this meeting tomorrow (April 7th.) so there will be some good things to report after that is on the books. I spent some additional time with other non profit experts refining the bylaws and the approach for managing the board. We should be able to officially get out of formation mode sometime this next week.
I was able to spend this afternoon with Kyle Becker of Becker Farms discussing different programs that would help improve the business successes of the existing sustainable farmers in the community.
There are a lot of good meetings this coming week to look forward to however, starting with our first board meeting! Look forward to a few good posts along the way this week to make up for a slow one this week.
