Week of April 28th

This week found us celebrating two months of operation!

In some ways it is hard to imagine it has only been two months and in other ways it feels like that has been a year.  I’d like to thank everyone that has offered their feedback and support so far to the Farmished effort.   There are some amazing people in this community that really want to see us have a thriving, healthy, local food economy.  That makes us even more committed to the cause to make that happen.

A few items of note this week.

First and most exciting, we think we have a property selected.  No spilling the beans yet until we are sure but the location is excellent and the opportunity there to fulfill all of the operational goals and objectives in our strategy.  More on that just as soon as we nail down some of the specifics.

Second, we got a bank account this week.  Simple but necessary item.  Thanks to First Merchants and the business team there for the help and getting everything squared away so we can be successful.

Third and last, that enabled us to get things set up in order to start taking donations to the Farmished program!  These are general donations to the cause and these funds can be used to sustain our efforts in developing programs, property acquisition, and any and all programs that we spin up in the name of enabling the local food economy that the community is in support of.  Many of you have asked us about donations and supporting the organization but we were not quite ready.  We are now there and would appreciate your show of support.   Even just a couple dollars shows us you support the cause and helps us justify to the community that these programs are wanted.   The page is new as are the connections to the payment processors so if you have any issues along the way, please do not hesitate to reach out and let us know.

Thank you for your show of support and have a great week!
