This week was filled with good press and a great event on Earth Day.
In preparation for the Earth Day event at The Downtown Farmstand, we had some really good press in The Star Press and on IPR. If you didn’t have a chance to read and hear them check them out here.
The event itself was a great experience. Attendance was great and there were a lot of good connections made and conversations about our plans. It is exciting to see people in the community being so supportive of our ideas.
We later attended the Arbor Day celebration at Cooley park on Saturday. There was also a great turnout there and we were able to continue the conversation about Farmished in a great outdoor environment.
One final note for the week, we have started the application for our first grant opportunity. We’ll be working on it for a few weeks before it is ready to submit but that should be an exciting experience.
Next week promises to bring another meeting with the Mayor’s office and some networking with others who have started non profits like this in other cities.
