Frank Foundry back tax petition moves to the final step

Last night, the Muncie City Council voted unanimously to approve our petition to remove the back taxes from the two plots of land that make up the Frank Foundry donation.  TaxThe petition now moves to the State Board of Accounts Department of Local Government Finance to be approved.  This is the second major step of three on the road to approval and we wanted to take a moment and thank those that assisted and helped us clear this milestone.  We would like to thank the entire City Council for their unanimous support.  Alison Quirk, Linda Gregory, Nora Powell, Julius Anderson, Doug Marshall, Mark Conatser, Mary Jo Barton, Brad Polk, and Jerry Dishman all cast a yes vote to pass this referendum through the council.  We are very appreciative of your support and vote of confidence!  Special thanks go to the Mayor, Dennis Tyler, Jason Donati, and Brad Bookout, for your critical support at the meeting.  Thank you to all those that expressed your support in other ways.  This was a good evening and a great outcome for the City of Muncie.
